International Driving License

The International Driving License is also known as International Driving Permit. It is only a certificate that the applicant wishes to drive the vehicle in other countries. This international driving license should not be treated that applicant had been permitted to drive in any of the world. After getting it issued he has to apply in the other country where he will get his driving license re-issued from that particular country with in one year. the visa holder along with passport, 3 photographs, original driving license will appear to obtain International driving license. The validity of the IDP is one year. The International driving is issued from all zonal offices and does not require any driving test. This is issued on the same day within 1/2 hour.

 

Other State Driving License (Rule -4, DMVR)

The license is issued from the new state after verifying the particulars of the applicant license from the original issuing state. This license is easily endorsed in case of Pvt. Categories however, in case of commercial license the applicant may have to undergo for retest and verifications of particulars. The particulars will be verified from original issuing authority and applicant may have to produce the NOC also along with application for other state license endorsement.
 

 Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Badge (Rule -6 DMVR)

To drive vehicle for passengers, school bus, autorikshaw, Taxis etc., PSV  Badge is required. This Badge is made after 6 months driving experience in Light Motor vehicle and after 2 years experience in Heavy Motor vehicle. The antecedents of applicants are verified from police before grant of PSV Badge. A driver training of about 5 days is mandatory in these categories.

 A driving training of 3 days is mandatory in these categories from IDTR, Loni Road. The fee of Rs.200/- is charged as for processing and Rs.80/- will be charged if the Badge will be issued by HCL. At zonal office the driver Badge will be issued from all zonal offices in accordance to the area jurisdiction. There is also the provision to grant a temporary badge till the antecedents report is received by MLO from Police and crime record.

 

Conductor Licence(Rule-15 ~26 DMVR, Section 29~38 of MV Act.)

This is issued for conductors after first aid training by Red cross society. The antecedents of applicant is also verified in this case by the Police. The other training of IDTR is also required to be attended as in case of PSV Badge. The other procedure of issuance of conductor license is same as in case PSV badge from zonal offices.

Further the applicant is also required to be literate (read&write) of regional language and medical from 1-A accompanied with this application. The other conditions like training from IDTR, fee and temporary issurance badge is also same as Public Service Badge.
